Senator Montigny’s Contribution Data

The amount and ratio of “Interest Income” is an outliner when compared to other elected officials reporting of sources. Additionally, it is improbable to net that much interest income given the reported balance. The interest rates are currently similar to the rates in the mid 2000s, so a similar return on investment would be expected, especially since the carrying balance has stayed similar.

It is curious what the bank, OCPF, and candidate detail would look like that adds up to the interest income reported.

Even if limited categories were available for booking entries, and aggregated unitemized receipts and interest income were used as catch all’s to balance the books, the amount is just too large for this to be accepted by the public as “transparent” or “the best campaign contribution system in the country”.

Comparison: Senator Pacheco

Senator Pacheco has served a similar population and location for the same number of years.
